HowTo: Terminal completamente transparente en Ubuntu con Compiz-Fusion

Si queremos poner nuestro terminal en Gnome completamente transparante, podemos hacerlo de la siguiente manera:

Primero creamos un nuevo perfil del terminal (Editar-Perfiles-Nuevo) lo llamamos "trans" y configuramos las siguientes carateristicas:

Cursor blinks: off
Show menubar: off
Initial title: trans
Dynamically-set title: Isn't displayed
Color scheme: Black on white
Transparent Background: on
Set the transparency down to "None"

La parte importante aqui es que ahora nuestro terminal gnome tendra el titulo "tarns". Podemos apuntar el terminal-gnome que esta usando el perfil "trans" desde el configurador de Compiz (CompizConfig) usando "title=trans".

Abrimos el CompizConfig (Sistema-Preferencias-CompizConfig). Nos aseguramos que tenemos activado el plugin regEx.

Nos vamos la Decorador de Ventana y agregamos "!title=trans" en el campo de Decorador de ventanas.

Luego nos vamos a Reglas de Ventana y agregamos "title=trans" en los siguientes campos:

• Skip taskbar, Skip pager, Below, Sticky, Non resizable windows, Non minimizable windows, Non maximizable windows, Non closable windows

En la seccion Fixed Size Windows hacemos click y agregamos "title=trans" en el campo Sized Window y ponemos el ancho y alto deseado al terminal.

Ir al Lugar de Ventanas y en la pestaña Windows with fixed positions damos clic en agregar y nuevamente ponemos "title=trans" en el campo Positioned Windows y de ahí colocamos las coordenadas x y y para la posición por defecto.

Y por ultimo ejecutamos en el terminal:

gnome-terminal --window-with-profile=trans
